Entry Period:
The entry period for the Charter Champion Awards will be open from April 1, 2017 to June 30, 2017.

How to Enter:

The Simcoe County Food and Agriculture Charter Awards are open to individuals, organizations and businesses based within Simcoe County. One nomination form may be submitted per award. Each nomination must be submitted on a separate form. Incomplete forms may be considered ineligible for assessment. Rules of Entry must be accepted before an entry will be eligible for review
The entry process may be undertaken by filling out a nomination form online at fpa.simcoe.ca, or by printing a nomination form and mailing a completed hard copy to:

Each entry will be assessed against how it aligns with the vision outlined in the Simcoe County Food and Agriculture Charter, the principle(s) with which the nomination corresponds, and the impact on the community. The Food Partners Alliance of Simcoe County reserves the right to withhold an award in any category if, in the judges’ opinions, no entry meets the necessary standards. The judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.


Rules of Entry :

1.By participating, each person submitting a nomination, nominee, and selected winner agree: (a) to receive electronic messages from the Food Partners Alliance of Simcoe County related to the Simcoe County Food and Agriculture Charter Champion Awards and related events; (b) to be bound by these Rules and Regulations and the decisions of the Food Partners Alliance of Simcoe County, (c) to release and hold harmless the Food Partners Alliance of Simcoe County, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and independent contractors, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives including advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability for claims/damages including, but not limited to, claims/damages for personal injury, for property damage with respect to acceptance, possession or use or misuse of the award, claims/damages related to participation in the Contest; (d) to permit the Food Partners Alliance of Simcoe County, the County of Simcoe, and/or the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit to use his/her name, address, city, province, of residence, photograph, video, or any likeness for advertising or publicity purposes without any additional compensation and, (e) each winner agrees to sign a Declaration and Release Form to this effect. The decisions of the Food Partners Alliance of Simcoe County in relation to this Contest will be final and binding on all entrants.


2.The Simcoe County Food and Agriculture Charter Steering Committee shall not be responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription or registration of Contest entry information, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, faulty, incomplete, incomprehensible, or erased computer or network transmissions, line failures of any telephone network, failure of computer equipment, software, inability to access any online service or web site, inability to submit the online nomination form, or any other error or malfunction, or any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Contest, or for late, lost, stolen, postage due, illegible or misdirected entries.


3.Nominees and references may be called prior to or after the evaluation of entries to confirm the Nominee meets the eligibility details listed in the Entry Form and the Nominee may be disqualified if any statements are found to be false.
If nominating someone, please have the nominee provide a signature of acknowledgement and acceptance of the aforementioned Contest Rules and Regulations. If a signature is not obtained, attempts will be made by the Food Partners Alliance of Simcoe County to reach the nominee to request permission. Rules of Entry must be accepted before an entry will be eligible for review; failure to obtain this permission may result in the disqualification of the nomination application.

I acknowledge and accept the Rules and Regulations which govern participation in the Simcoe County Food and Agriculture Charter Champion Awards, and agree to abide by the Rules and Regulations.
